ABOUT US

A small oasis of peace, surrounded by nature, set among olive groves and palm trees, looking out towards the sea. This is “Le Palme Bed and Breakfast”; a place extraordinarily rich in charm, the ideal have for those who wish to take a break from the stressful rhythm of daily life, to take time for themselves and relax a little. An ancient converted farmhouse, situated in the foothills of Recco, it is just 4 minutes by car from the town. The rooms have been artfully and attentively refurbished, so as to create a welcoming atmosphere, while at the same time maintaining the rural charm of the buildings. The rooms are detached from the rest of the house, and are furnished with care, and equipped with every comfort. Each room has a private bathroom and its own corner of the garden, which is equipped to provide guests with the right degree of privacy. In the external space near the main house, there is large charmingly furnished terrace; the ideal spot for breakfast.

You can start your day by enjoying the magnificent view of the Golfo Paradiso, while surrounded by palm and olive trees, and the intoxicating fragrance of lavender, rosemary and sage. To complete the ambience, nestling among the olive trees, there is a lovely saltwater swimming pool; offering a pleasant rendezvous point for a relaxing and refreshing dip. From here, your gaze can wonder from the alpine mountains down to the Mediterranean Sea, with its thousand shades of blue. The splendors of nature which surround this place make it unique.
The B&B is in Megli, framed by the Golfo Paradiso, in the eastern Ligurian Riviera. Known for its wonderful position, from which the view is breath-taking, Megli overlooks the seaside town of Recco. Its position is strategic for those who love taking walks or going on cycling excursions. The Alta Via dei monti Liguri, which goes from Nervi to Rapallo, passes through here, offering a hiking trail along tracks which run between the sea and the mountains; why not pause a while and taste the great local food, such as the famous Focaccette di Megli, an authentic symbol of Ligurian gastronomy.

SERVICES

For breakfast, guests can choose from a rich and varied selection: including must try local specialties, such as Ligurian focaccia (a delicious local bread), pastries, various types of bread, locally made jam, honey, organic fresh fruit, muslie, yogurt, fruit juices, tea and coffee. There are also some traditional German delicacies, in honour of the house owner Birgit’s origins.
During good weather, breakfast is served on the terrace, at any time between 7:30 and midday, as desired by the guests.

Le Palme is open from Easter to the beginning of November; the months in which the sun warms the days and treats guests to unforgettable moments in this corner of Liguria.
Wi-Fi, TV, Hairdryer and Towels are available for all guests.

In the external area, there is a well equipped kitchen for guests to use.

Environmental sanitation according to circular No. 5443 of 20.02.2 issued by the Ministry of Health, will be carried out with an ozone generator.

HOW TO FIND US

The B&B is found in the lovely village of Megli – framed by il Golfo Paradiso (Paradise Golf) – on the Levante riviera, at just 25 km from Genoa, 10 km from Portofino and 3km from Camogli. Leaving the A12 motorway at the Recco exit, there are two possible routes by which to reach us:

1 Cross Recco in the direction of Sori. At the first roundabout, turn right into Via Milite Ignoto, continue uphill until the junction with a road on the right, signposted “”località Ageno””, Via dell’’Alloro. Follow this road as far the next junction, turn left into Via Don A. Polleri and continue along it until you arrive at a small piazza, where there is a bus stop on the right; on the left, going down hill, is Sal. Della Giudea, take this road, after 50 meters, on the right, you arrive at the first gate to the house, which is for entry by foot, and soon afterwards the gate for entry by car.

2 From the Recco exit, instead of turning towards the town, turn left; signposted “”Uscio””. After approximately 1km, pass under the motorway bridge and on the left is the junction signposted “”Verzemma””, take this road and stay on it, pass through the middle of a wood, and some houses (ignoring the junction for Verzemma) and the road joins Via Don A. Polleri. Now, follow the directions from Via Don A. Polleri as given in Route 1, and you will arrive at the B&B ““Le Palme””.
